Industrial pump room with blue pressure vessels and stainless-steel pipework

A partner in production not a chemical supplier.

Prosep engineers water treatment programmes around your plant — protecting assets, optimising process water, and guaranteeing regulatory compliance. Measured in uptime, yield, and results.

What we do

Three pillars. One outcome: water that works for production.

Everything Prosep does maps to three operational risks — and turns your plant's water systems into a competitive advantage.

Pillar 01

Asset reliability & uptime

We protect the physical plant — the heart of your operation. Our programmes prevent the corrosion, scaling, and biological fouling that cause costly failures and unplanned downtime, extending asset life.

// on site

We control calcium carbonate and silica scaling in high-cycle cooling systems with targeted phosphonate and polymer programmes, dosed to a saturation index we monitor on site, while protecting yellow metals with azole-based corrosion inhibitors.

Pillar 02

Process & production yield

Water is a critical ingredient in production. We manage its quality and chemistry to improve product quality, increase throughput, and reduce operational cost. Better water means a better, more profitable product.

// on site

We manage feed-water chemistry across RO and ion exchange trains, controlling silica, hardness, and biofouling to protect membrane life and hold product conductivity within specification.

Pillar 03

Compliance & sustainability

Environmental regulation is a major business risk. We deliver end-to-end solutions that treat complex effluent, manage risk, and meet discharge and safety standards — with reuse and recovery built in.

// on site

We treat complex effluent through staged pH correction, coagulation and flocculation, and metals precipitation, with EPSE recovery where the stream carries value — so discharge meets DWS limits and water returns to process.

The Prosep difference

Engineered around your plant, not sold from a catalogue.

Every site is different. We survey your systems, sample your water, and design a chemical and equipment programme against your plant's actual risks — then stay on site to prove it works.

  • On-site engineering, not just product supply
  • Programmes priced transparently against scope
  • KPIs reported, monitored, and tuned on site
  • Full cycle: intake, process water, effluent, reuse

The same discipline runs across the full water cycle — from boiler and cooling chemistry to process water treatment and effluent, engineered and run by one accountable team.

See how we work

Our working method

From first sample to sustained results.

A repeatable four-stage programme — the same discipline whether we are protecting a boiler or recovering metals from effluent.

  1. 01

    Site assessment

    We survey the systems on site, sample the water, and map the risks to uptime, yield, and compliance.

  2. 02

    Programme design

    We engineer a tailored chemical and equipment programme with clear KPIs and a transparent cost basis.

  3. 03

    Implementation

    We install, dose, and commission, train your team, and integrate with the existing operation.

  4. 04

    Monitoring & optimisation

    We return to site, report against KPIs, and tune the programme as the plant changes.

Proof, not promises

Results measured on real plants.

Anonymised cases with client-confirmed figures — the numbers a plant manager, an SHEQ lead, and a CFO each care about.

Effluent & heavy metals removal

Steel pipe coating plant

Acid-pickling effluent that lime-only treatment could not hold — very low pH, high chlorides, dissolved iron, zinc and lead. EPSE chemistry, verified at laboratory scale in Finland before anything went near the plant, run daily in parallel against the old treatment.

Eight months in, it removes lead and zinc lime left untouched and runs on fully recycled water — with hazardous-waste declassification of the sludge under review.

Start with a site assessment, not a sales pitch.

Tell us about your plant and the systems that worry you. We survey on site, sample the water, and map the risks to uptime, yield, and compliance — then engineer a programme around what we find.
