A chemical plant uses water as a reactant, a solvent, a coolant and a cleaning agent, and the quality it needs varies by the order at each point. Can you treat our process water to a specific quality specification?

Yes. Where water quality affects reaction or product, reverse osmosis and the treatment behind it produce the required grade, monitored and held consistently. The programme is designed to a specification and proven against it, which is what reactant integrity and product quality require.

Our effluent is complex and variable. Can you handle it?

Complex, variable effluent is characterised first and, where warranted, verified by treatability testing before full-scale work. Where dissolved metals are the binding constraint, Prosep implements EPSE chemistry, which removes a wide range of metals from difficult, fluctuating streams. The programme is built around your actual effluent, not a generic design.

Why is cooling treatment more critical on a chemical plant?

Because a fouled or failed cooler on an exothermic process can become a process-safety issue, not merely an efficiency loss. Scale and corrosion control on those circuits is therefore treated as a reliability and safety measure, run to stated targets and monitored on site.
